This SQA approved Training Programme has been designed for qualified electricians looking to update their BS 7671 training. This course is suitable for electricians who are responsible for ensuring that electrical installations are installed and commissioned in accordance with current requirements.
The aim of this programme is to provide detailed information on the particular requirements of BS 7671:2018.
To complete this course successfully the participant must be able to demonstrate knowledge of this standard by successful completion of the course assessments.
This programme is made up of two parts. There is a short online course on ‘Introduction to BS 7671’ that needs to be completed and delegates also need to successfully complete a one-day training course on Requirements for Electrical Installations to BS 7671:2018.
The online component compliments the material that will be covered on the day-training course. To get the most from the training day we ask that delegates complete the online course fully before attending the day-course. If this isn’t possible, we do allow for this to be completed within four weeks after the training date. However, this course must be fully complete before a SQA certificate will be awarded.
The online course should only take a few hours to complete. We will aim to register you for the online course within one working day of your booking. If you need any further information, contact the Training section on 0131 445 5577.
