Scottish Building Standards training
The Building (Scotland) Act 2003 introduced a new Building Standards system for Scotland that raises standards and simplifies the approval of many construction activities for the public, the industry and verifiers, i.e. local authorities.
SELECT was the first Scheme Provider for the Certification of Construction (Electrical Installations to BS 7671) Scheme and is able to register both Approved Bodies and Approved Certifiers of Construction.
Completing up-to-date Scottish Building Standards training is an essential requirement for individuals who are registered as Approved Certifiers of Construction.
If you wish to join the scheme, successfully passing the Scottish Building Standards self-study programme is one of the essential requirements. Those who are already registered on the scheme have to complete update training every 3 years.
Below you’ll find a list of upcoming self-study sessions. Simply scroll down and click on the programme you’d like to attend – you’ll be given an overview and the chance to book.
