Members are the lifeblood of our association, so we are always keen to organise events where we can meet face-to-face and discuss industry issues, offer advice and recognise their achievements. We also enjoy the social side too!
Below you can find out about the many SELECT events that we’ll be organising during our 125th anniversary year. From Branch Updates and Toolbox Talks to golf and our Grand Ball, there’s plenty to get involved with.

Toolbox Talks
Our technical roadshow, sponsored by Aico, will take place in May, June and July this year. Travelling from the Borders to the Highlands – and everywhere in between – our experts will deliver the latest industry updates via presentations and Q&A sessions, plus the events also feature suppliers, wholesalers, games and freebies. Presidents' Lunch
The Presidents' Lunch hosts guests from across the construction industry every year as a networking opportunity with speakers, discussing current trends and updates to further improve and forcast for the future. Find out more.

Branch Updates
Our dedicated Branch meetings are held twice a year, in spring and autumn. Once again, Members will hear about industry developments, ask questions and meet their fellow professionals, with technical presentations a key part of every update. Find out more.

President's Cup
Our annual sporting get-together will once again see Members get in the swing as they battle it out for the coveted President’s Trophy. As well as the chance of some friendly rivalry with other Branches, the day is a good opportunity to network and meet fellow professionals during high tea in the clubhouse afterwards. Find out more.

Professionals' Day
Professionals’ Day draws together senior professionals and decisionmakers from across the construction industry to share ideas and gain insights into the electrical sector. Among the guests for this year’s special event will be architects, surveyors, specifiers and construction project managers.

Past Presidents’ Lunch
The Past Presidents' Christmas Lunch is held in the Balmoral, our annual festive event for former office bearers sees a convivial get-together with senior staff and members of the SELECT Central Board. The lunch offers an excellent opportunity to catch up with old friends and share insights with a variety of senior industry professionals from all four corners of Scotland.

Drop-In Sessions
Member Representatives are always keen to talk with Members, arranging ad-hoc sessions to answer queries and deliver important updates. These drop-ins can happen any time throughout the year, and are usually hosted in a hotel with a Technical Adviser and a manufacturer to ensure Members receive the latest information and advice.
