SELECT message on regulating the electrical industry hits the airwaves

SELECT was able to make it’s case on the importance of regulating the electrical industry on yesterday’s BBC Radio Scotland’s lunchtime show, hosted by Ken MacDonald.

Alan Wilson, SELECT’s Head of Membership and Communications spoke about the dangers of using unqualified “electricians” to carry out work and issues over the latent defects which could lie undisturbed for years.

SELECT continues its work in lobbying the Scottish government to introduce “Protection of Title” for electricians which has the backing of many politicians and the UK’s biggest trade union, Unite the Union.
