Making tax Digital – What You Need to Know

From 6 April 2019, HMRC will only allow VAT returns to be made digitally. ‘Making tax Digital’ (MTD) is an HMRC initiative designed to make sure the UK tax system is more effective, efficient, accurate and productive. Under MTD, businesses operating above the current VAT threshold (£85,000) will be required to provide digital VAT returns and maintain digital records. The new requirement includes the need for integrated software solutions between digital records and the returns being submitted.
