Arc Flash Symposium with The IET 21/09/11

Arc flash is not a new phenomenon, however in an increasingly safety conscious world, and as required in law, the undertaking of a risk assessment is part of the protection of workers.

The symposium discussion will include: compliance with the Electricity at Work Regulations and the PPE Regulations, recent changes to IEC 61439, switchgear testing and design, arc flash analysis and calculations, and the European approach to electrical arc risk assessment.

Mr John Madden, Health and Safety Executive; Mr Craig McKee, 3 Phase Design; Mr John Maplesden, TAS Engineering Consultants and Mr Mike Frain, Electrical Safety UK will be speaking at the event.

This event is free of charge and open to all.  It takes place on Wednesday 21/09/11 from 1pm – 5pm in the Teacher Building, 14-16 St Enouch Square, Glasgow, G1 4DE
