30 days holiday per year, this is broken down into 2.5 days per month.
How is the holiday year broken down?
The year is broken into 5 Days at Easter, 12 days at summer, 10 days at Xmas and 3 local holidays which are spring, May Day and an autumn holiday.
What happens to an operative’s holiday credits when he leaves a company?
When an operative leaves employment their employer will work out their holiday entitlement for the current holiday year and deduct any days they have taken and pay them the balance in their final wage.
When are the 3 SJIB holiday credit payouts?
The Easter credits are paid out at the beginning of March, the Summer credits at the beginning of June and the Xmas credits at the beginning of December.
When are the holiday credits collected for the relevant holiday credit payouts?
The Easter credits are collected between September & November, the Summer credits between November and April and the Xmas credits between April and August.
