Apprenticeships
How to apply

The electrical apprenticeship is a Modern Apprenticeship designed to ensure that all apprentices are trained to the standards set by the industry in the United Kingdom. It is based on the values of the traditional apprenticeship with all apprentices being employed by electrical contractors while they learn the skills of their craft.

What's Involved
As an apprentice you will be employed throughout your training, both at college and on site.
The training is divided into three stages each of which must be satisfactorily completed before progressing to the next stage.

Adult Training Scheme
There are opportunities for you if you are over the age of 22 and want to become an Electrician. You may have no previous experience or perhaps you already have skills which you feel will be helpful - no matter either way, you can find out more details by contacting SECTT.

The Scottish Electrical Charitable Training Trust (SECTT) administers the Adult Training Scheme throughout Scotland on behalf of the Scottish Joint Industry Board.
