Local Authority Building Standards (LABSS) in conjunction with the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) have arranged a seminar which will be held in the Apex City Quay Hotel, Dundee on Monday 28 August 2017 commencing at 9.30 am. The Seminar will be formally opened with a keynote speech from the Minister for Local Government and Housing, Kevin Stewart MSP.
The seminar will be made up of formal presentations in the morning and the first part of the afternoon, followed by a delegate workshop to allow an exchange of views and discussion on the issues being raised and for feedback to LABSS. SELECT will be involved in the workshop activity.
The purpose of the Seminar is to raise awareness and to promote the compliance of building standards in Scotland through joint working between Local Authority Verifiers and their industry partners.
It is hoped that delegates will get a better insight into the issues around compliance and the benefits to the construction and built environment agenda. It will also give speakers and delegates the opportunity of sharing past and present experiences and hopefully building a better working relationship.
The delegate fee is £50 + VAT and Booking Forms can be downloaded by clicking here.
